Jennifer Paull…has had a love affair with the oboe d'amore for much of her life…This set of three records cuts a swathe through the repertoire, particularly highlighting pieces she has commissioned to swell a rather lean repertoire of music for oboe d'amore and piano.

Jennifer Paull gives sparkling performances… as an A-Z display of the oboe d'amore's glorious qualities…

I do believe that without Jennifer Paull 's exceptional efforts to restore this lovely instrument to general use, we would find it languishing in some musicological backwater.

Jennifer Paull truly is a star...That she is also a scholar of this music is evident… Paull's ornamentation is at once graceful, tasteful and sometimes virtuosic ...entertainment for the mind as well as the feet.

[The] pieces were written for Jennifer Paull, who obviously enjoys them all and gives immaculate performances of these delightful miniatures. This attractive release…is a pure delight from first to last. A real winner.

The CD introduces Jennifer Paull's group of oboists, The Amoris Consort ...[t]his is all 20th century music but very approachable.

These last two CDs (  SC VII & CC VI )  feature music, all of which was written for Jennifer Paull, and it is well worth investigating for those who  are looking for something a bit different … Jennifer Paull... I did say she was a champion of the oboe d’amore!
