Trio Fantastico AI CM 004 for Oboe d'Amore (or Cor Anglais), Bass Oboe (or Bassoon) and Piano Walter Ross Trio Fantastico (1998) is a showpiece especially written to encourage the modern revival of the oboe d'amore. The work is in three modal/tonal movements which have the descriptive titles Capriccio, Elegy, and Scherzino. Thirteen minutes in length, it makes an excellent centerpiece for a recital. It was written at the suggestion of Jennifer Paull and is dedicated to her. The composition was inspired by the old Italian commedia del arte and three of its characters: Harlequin, Isabella, and Pulcinella. Amoris scores are exclusively available in traditional bound format with global postal distribution and secure payment from Crowther's of Canterbury. Our full downloadable library is being prepared. |
