Walter Ross

Walter Ross is perhaps best known for his concertos and chamber music featuring wind instruments and brass, including concertos for oboe, oboe d'amore, bassoon, clarinet, and wind quintet. He has received many significant commissions, awards, and prizes. His compositions have been performed throughout the world, and several have been published and recorded. He has served as president of the Southeastern Composers' League (USA)and is currently on the board of the Capital Composers Alliance and a professor of composition at the University of Virginia.
